I am against abortion and believe life begins at conception, yet GOD creates Human life, so I am not for personhood at conception. I dislike the limited scope of these questions but I stand by my answers. I do not like labels like Pro-life or Choice.

No 3) Do you support the elimination of the federal estate tax?
Yes 4) Do you support requiring the federal budget to be balanced each year?
Yes 5) Do you support using government funds in an effort to stimulate and improve the economy?
I firmly believe we have the ability to greatly increase our spending in this areas. We need to eliminate "welfare", which I define as the "illegal Immigration problem." I also believe we do not have to cut the budget , "entitlements" at all. We just spent 1 trillion to ? Its about accountibility, full transparency and reducing spending by examining abuse, fraud, waste, mismanagement and having full transparency. That is what we have to eliminate. We can balance the budget and put money in all of the above to increase proserity and wealth, now.
Accountibility, the IRS has created a system of abuse, the TIN (tax identification number) we have to examine abuse, fraud, waste and mismangement before we increase any taxes even .0001% a cent. Which means dealing with the welfare state, illegal immigration. We must be back the financial reforms that matter, such as Glass-Steagall.
Yes, but lets get real, we need immediate practical solutions. Spending money won't help small or large businesses if having a full time employee is an extra cost, which it is now.
Yes a) Do you support privatizing elements of Social Security?
Yes b) Do you support reducing government regulations on the private sector?
Yes c) Do you support increasing the federal minimum wage?
Yes d) Do you support the ability of workers to unionize?
Yes e) Do you support federal funding for job-training programs that retrain displaced workers?
All of these has to be done with a focus at reducing costs and making a system that is dependable, and reliable to those who are dealing with that agency. One you can depend on, and one that is fast.
Yes a) Do you support increasing the amount individuals are permitted to contribute to federal campaigns?
Yes b) Should Congress regulate indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes c) Do you support removing all contribution limits on federal campaigns?
Yes d) Should candidates for federal office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits?
Yes e) Do you support giving the President the power of the line item veto for items concerning appropriations?
Yes f) Do you support limiting the President's ability to define how legislation is applied through the use of signing statements?
Yes, as an Unaffiliated, I get no campaign reform help, all of this can be managed, to work in a way that will allow government to work better, we still need checks and balances.
Yes a) Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes b) Do you support programs that provide prison inmates with vocational and job-related training and job-placement assistance when released?
Yes c) Do you support programs that provide prison inmates with substance abuse treatment?
Yes d) Do you support reduced prison sentences for non-violent offenders?
Yes e) Do you support mandatory prison sentences for selling illegal drugs?
I don't support the current model of privatilization of jails or prisons. It becomes a profit model with the incentive to keep people, youth , incarcerated. I also demand no "illegals" to be housed in jails or prisons. The solution is to enforce our laws and have enforcment with thoise countries these illegals come from for repatriation and "fair and equal" treatment in the Treaty process. So, these individuals can be repatriated and held accountible back in their nation, or we would withdraw foriegn aid. This has to be enforced.
Yes a) Do you support federal education standards and testing requirements for K-12 students?
Yes b) Do you support federal funding for universal pre-K programs?
Yes c) Do you support federal funding for charter schools?
Yes d) Do you support federal funding for K-12 school vouchers?
Yes e) Do you support the federal government providing college students with financial aid?
Here me, Yes, but "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" has to go. We can have these standards on a local level. We need to formalize what minimum we need to educate. If someone is "illegal" we have no obligation to keep them in the USA, therefore they do not HAVE to be educated. Also, Congress can clarify this ruling on educating "illegals." and compell states to follow this model. The amount of cost to our states is enormous, when it is just wrong.
Yes a) Do you support enacting environmental regulations aimed at reducing the effects of climate change?
Yes b) Do you support international emissions targets aimed at reducing the effects of climate change?

Yes e) Do you support domestic oil exploration in federally-protected areas?
Yes f) Do you support federal funding for the development of alternative energy?
Yes g) Do you support the development of nuclear reactors?
Cap and trade can not work if federally mandated. I worked in Nuclear, my grandfather was an oil well driller. I have a LEED AP, US Green Building Council. I am an environmentalist. I understand sustainability but I am for resource management. All regulations must be streamlined, simple, reliable and if any enforcement we need a consent decree process to minimize litigation, and total input from all the players.

Yes b) Do you believe that the Second Amendment guarantees the right of individual citizens to own guns?
Yes c) Do you support allowing individuals to carry concealed guns?
No d) Do you support a ban on assault rifles?
I am a strong 2nd amendment supporter, its has to be fully supported and incorporated into each local jurisdiction, restrictions should be reasonable, place, person time. SO, my answers are subjective to my having own guns and possession of several CCW's, and having been a member of the NRA.

Yes d) Should the United States continue to strike suspected terrorist targets in Pakistan?

Yes g) Do you support increasing sanctions on Iran if it continues to defy United Nations mandates?
Yes h) Do you support the withdrawal of United States troops from Iraq?
Yes i) Do you support the United States' involvement in free trade agreements?
We need to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan, we can support them without troops. We have to support Israel. I believe that we need to adjust trade seriously. We need to work with Pakistan.
Yes a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
No b) Do you support allowing openly-gay men and women to serve in the United States military?
No c) Do you support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research?
No d) Should the federal government end affirmative action programs?
Dont ask Dont Tell is a policy that never should have been put in place. I served in the military for 6 years. We need to, as a government stay out of the bedroom. Also, be careful what you wish for re stem cell research. I am against GMO, genetically motified organisms.
STOP THE INSANITY, the two party system is out of control. SO as the first "Unaffiliated" US Senator, my mission is to end the deadlock, create a non-partisan chairmenship on all preconfrence, informal and formal meetings. Two, end the economic mess, push for the changes that will matter today, fixing the mess and correcting the problems put in so far. End the free rides, illegal immigration. We have to acknoledge that we all have to work together on the mission that will solve our problems now, today. I will fight for it.
